OUR HOLY WEEK LITURGIES
Please note that seating at all of our services at Notre Dame-Visitation in Schuylerville is limited due to the six-foot social distancing rule currently in effect. As a result you may want to call ahead to reserve a seat. Based on current reservations we are already at capacity for our two Palm Sunday and our one Easter Sunday liturgies.
Our schedule of services with our interim priest, Fr. Edward Kacerguis, will be as follows:
Fr. Kacerguis will also be celebrating the Holy Week liturgies at St. Joseph’s in Greenwich. They will be following their usual Mass schedule on both Palm and Easter Sundays with Mass at 10am. Father will also be celebrating the Easter Vigil at St. Joseph’s starting at 8pm on Saturday, April 3. Unfortunately, they, too, have reached their seating capacity for all of these liturgies. The Palm and Easter Sunday liturgies may be viewed online at www.tinyurl.com/SJG-liturgies.
Notre Dame-Visitation will be following its usual weekend Mass schedule, March 27 & 28, for Palm Sunday with its Masses at 4pm on Saturday and 11:15am on Sunday.

- Palm Sunday (Saturday & Sunday, March 27 & 28) – our usual Mass schedule with Masses at 4pm on Saturday & 11:15am on Sunday.
- Holy Thursday & Good Friday (Thursday & Friday, April 1 & 2) – we will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7:30pm on Thursday and the Service commemorating our Lord’s Passion at 7:30pm on Friday.
- Easter Sunday (April 4) – we will joyfully celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at our usual 11:15am Mass on Sunday. There will be no vigil/mass of anticipation on Saturday afternoon.

- "The Seven Last Words from the Cross" are seven expressions biblically attributed to Jesus during his crucifixion. Since a person's final articulated words said prior to death are taken to have particular significance, these seven sayings, may provide a way to understand what was ultimately important to Jesus as he was dying on the cross. Since the 16th century they have been widely used in sermons on Good Friday. Here we have a link to Bishop Robert Barron’s recording of his meditation on the Seven Last Words of Christ.
